Fraser Park FC, is an Australian soccer club with senior teams competing in the Football NSW League Two, Youth competing in the Football NSW Boys League Two and the club also has teams participating in the Football NSW Skills Acquisition Program, which is the official Football NSW development program for players age 9 to 12 years. Their home ground is Fraser Park which is on 100 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville.
History
The Sydney Portugal Community Club was founded on 6 February 1965, a few years after the formation of the Football Club in 1961. Portuguese migrants created the “Clube Português de Sydney”, as it was originally known, in Paddington, in the heart of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. It was there that a small number of Portuguese immigrants began to plan the future of the club, which later became Rosebery.
The club moved to Fraser Park, which had previously been used by the Railway Institute, in the early 1990s.
O Fraser Park foi fundado em 1958 como Fraser Park Junior Soccer Club. O clube rapidamente se tornou uma potência local, conquistando vários campeonatos juniores nas décadas de 1960 e 1970. Na década de 1980, o clube se tornou um clube sênior e ingressou na National Soccer League (NSL), a principal liga de futebol da Austrália na época.
O Fraser Park jogou na NSL por seis temporadas, de 1984 a 1990. O clube não conseguiu atingir grandes feitos na NSL, mas conseguiu se manter na primeira divisão durante seis temporadas. Em 1991, o clube foi rebaixado para a segunda divisão, onde permaneceu até 1995.
Em 1996, o Fraser Park foi rebaixado para a terceira divisão, onde permaneceu até 2003. Em 2004, o clube foi promovido para a segunda divisão, onde permaneceu até 2013. Em 2014, o clube foi rebaixado para a terceira divisão, onde permanece até hoje.
O Fraser Park é conhecido por sua forte cultura juvenil. O clube tem uma academia de juniores bem-sucedida, que produziu vários jogadores que passaram a jogar futebol profissional. O clube também tem uma forte base de fãs, que comparece regularmente aos jogos do clube.
