KFR Hvolsvöllur

Knattspyrnufélag Rangæinga (better known as KFR) is an Icelandic football club from the towns of Hella and Hvolsvöllur, in Rangárvallasýsla. The club represents a united team for Rangárþing (Rangárþing eystra and Rangárþing ytra). Prior to KFR's foundation the football clubs in the two towns in Rangárþing, Hekla from Hella and Baldur from Hvolsvöllur occasionally took part in the Icelandic leagues. In the years prior to KFR's foundation the clubs often fielded a merged team, calling themselves Hekla/Baldur or HB. KFR was the next step.

KFR hasn't fielded a team every season since its foundation but they've started to compete more regularly. The team achieved promotion from 3. deild in 2011 and competed in the 2012 2. deild karla, where they got relegated to 3. deild again, although this time the 3. deild isn't the lowest league in the Icelandic system following the restructuring of the league pyramid.

O Knattspyrnufélagið Raufarhöfn, ou simplesmente KFR, é um clube de futebol islandês sediado em Hvolsvöllur, na Islândia. O clube foi fundado em junho de 1945 e joga na 3. deild karla, a quarta divisão do futebol masculino islandês.

O KFR tem uma longa história de sucesso no futebol islandês, tendo conquistado a Copa da Islândia em 2013 e a 2. deild karla em 2001. O clube também chegou à final da Copa da Islândia em outras duas ocasiões, em 2004 e 2014.

O KFR é um clube bem conhecido e respeitado no futebol islandês, e é conhecido por seu estilo de jogo ofensivo e por sua capacidade de marcar gols. O clube também tem uma forte tradição de formação de jovens talentos, e muitos jogadores do KFR acabaram jogando em clubes maiores da Islândia e até mesmo no exterior.

O KFR é um clube ambicioso e está sempre buscando melhorar e alcançar novos patamares. O clube tem como objetivo se tornar um clube da 1. deild karla, a primeira divisão do futebol masculino islandês, e também sonha em participar de competições europeias.
