LTS Bremerhaven

Leher Turnerschaft is a German football club from the Lehe district of Bremerhaven in the state of Bremen. Founded in 1898, it plays in the Bremen-Liga in the fifth tier of the German football league system.

The origins of the club are in the establishment of the worker's sportclub Arbeiter-Turnverein Frei Heil Lehe which was later renamed Freie Turnerschaft Lehe und Umgebung. In 1911, SpVgg Leherheide split off and would later become SFL Bremerhaven. The football department of TS Lehe followed, becoming independent in 1913 as Freie Sportvereinigung Lehe.

As a worker's club, FSV Lehe was part of the Arbeiter-Turn- und Sportbund (ATSB or Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Federation), a national German sports organization active between 1893-1933. The ATSB actively promoted leftist political views built around class struggle and nationalism. The Nazi regime regarded worker's and faith-based clubs as politically undesirable and this led to the disbanding of clubs of this type in 1933. FSV avoided dissolution by abandoning the ATSB and reorganizing as Leher Turnerschaft. They later (1943-45) played alongside Bremerhaven 93 as the wartime side (Kriegspielgemeinschaft) KSG Bremerhaven.

In 2016–17, the team won the Bremen Cup for the first time, defeating Bremer SV 9–8 on penalties after a goalless draw in the final on 25 May. In doing so, the team qualified for the DFB-Pokal for the first time. In the first round on 12 August 2017, they hosted Bundesliga team 1. FC Köln at OSC Bremerhaven's Nordsee-Stadion and lost 5–0.

O LTS Bremerhaven é um clube de futebol alemão com sede em Bremerhaven, Bremen. O clube foi fundado em 1899 e joga atualmente na Landesliga Bremen, a sexta divisão do futebol alemão.

O LTS Bremerhaven tem uma longa história no futebol alemão. O clube foi um dos primeiros clubes a se filiar à Federação Alemã de Futebol (DFB) em 1900. O LTS Bremerhaven também foi um dos primeiros clubes alemães a competir em competições internacionais, tendo participado da Copa Mitropa em 1927 e 1928.

Na década de 1930, o LTS Bremerhaven foi um dos clubes mais bem-sucedidos da Alemanha. O clube venceu o Campeonato Alemão em 1933 e 1934, e também foi vice-campeão em 1935 e 1936.

Após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, o LTS Bremerhaven foi rebaixado para as divisões inferiores do futebol alemão. O clube passou a maior parte das décadas de 1950 e 1960 na Amateurliga Bremen, a terceira divisão do futebol alemão na época.

Na década de 1970, o LTS Bremerhaven retornou à segunda divisão do futebol alemão. O clube permaneceu na segunda divisão até 1981, quando foi rebaixado para a terceira divisão.

O LTS Bremerhaven passou as décadas de 1980 e 1990 na terceira divisão do futebol alemão. O clube foi promovido para a segunda divisão em 1991, mas foi rebaixado novamente em 1993.

O LTS Bremerhaven passou as décadas de 1990 e 2000 nas divisões inferiores do futebol alemão. O clube atualmente joga na Landesliga Bremen, a sexta divisão do futebol alemão.

O LTS Bremerhaven possui um estádio próprio, o LTS-Stadion, com capacidade para 5.000 espectadores. O estádio foi inaugurado em 1925 e foi reformado em 2009.
