Hyvinkään Palloseura (abbreviated HyPS) is a football club from Hyvinkää, Finland. The club was formed in 1947 and its main home ground is at the Hyvinkään Urheilupuisto.
History
HyPS played four seasons in the Suomensarja (Finland League), the second tier of Finnish football in 1949, 1951, 1954 and 1965. They also have had three spells covering 19 seasons in the third tier, the Kakkonen (Second Division), in 1975–77, 1987 and 1995–2009. It was a huge disappointment when they were relegated back to the Kolmonen (Third Division) at the end of the 2009 campaign after 15 consecutive years in the Kakkonen.
HyPS have had a number of outstanding players but none surpass Pertti Jantunen who played a record 327 games for the club scoring 174 goals. One of the highlights of Hyvinkää football in the 1970s and 1980s were the derby matches with local rivals, Palloiluseura Apollo, who have sadly dropped to the Vitonen in recent years.
O HyPS possui um longo histórico no futebol finlandês, tendo conquistado o Campeonato Finlandês de Futebol em 1951 e 1952. O clube também venceu a Copa da Finlândia em 1963 e 1966.
Nos últimos anos, o HyPS tem se consolidado como uma das principais equipes da Kakkonen. Em 2019, o clube chegou à final da competição, mas acabou sendo derrotado pelo FC Lahti.
O HyPS é conhecido por sua forte base de fãs, que comparecem em grande número aos jogos do clube. O estádio do HyPS, o Hyvinkään Pallokenttä, tem capacidade para 4.000 pessoas.

* Aulis Rytkönen: Um dos maiores jogadores finlandeses de todos os tempos, Rytkönen jogou pelo HyPS de 1948 a 1954. Ele marcou 108 gols em 180 jogos pelo clube e ajudou o HyPS a conquistar o Campeonato Finlandês em 1951 e 1952.

* Timo Kautonen: Um dos melhores jogadores do HyPS nos últimos anos, Kautonen jogou pelo clube de 2010 a 2016. Ele marcou 65 gols em 150 jogos pelo clube e ajudou o HyPS a chegar à final da Kakkonen em 2015.
