SAK Klagenfurt

SAK Celovec/Klagenfurt is an Austrian football club based in Klagenfurt (Celovec), Carinthia, currently playing in the 4th tier Kärntner Liga. It was founded in 1970 by members of the Klagenfurt Slovene secondary school (Gymnasium) around Valentin Inzko.

After the re-introduction of the Regional League Central, SAK won the 1995 championship and was promoted to the First League. Nevertheless, the team was again relegated one year later to the Regional League, where they have played until 2001, from 2002 until 2003 and from 2005 until 2015. From 2001 until 2002 und from 2003 until 2005 the team played in the "Kaerntner Landesliga" ("Kaerntner Liga").

O SAK Klagenfurt, também conhecido como Sportvereinigung Amateure Klagenfurt, é um clube de futebol austríaco sediado na cidade de Klagenfurt. Foi fundado em 1920 e atualmente compete na Segunda Divisão Austríaca, a segunda divisão do futebol austríaco.

O SAK Klagenfurt é um clube tradicional na Áustria, com uma história de mais de 100 anos. O clube conquistou dois títulos da Segunda Divisão Austríaca, em 1960 e 1970. Na Primeira Divisão Austríaca, a principal divisão do futebol austríaco, o clube nunca conquistou um título, mas foi vice-campeão em uma ocasião, na temporada 1971-72.

O SAK Klagenfurt também tem uma forte tradição na Copa da Áustria. O clube conquistou duas vezes a copa, em 1957 e 1960. Na Supercopa da Áustria, o clube nunca conquistou um título.
