Queen’s Park CC

The Queen's Park Cricket Club (QPCC) is a cricket club in Trinidad and Tobago, current owner of the Queen's Park Oval, having previously played at the Queen's Park Savannah since its founding in 1891. During the first decades of the twentieth century, the private Queen's Park Oval was the most exclusive cricket ground and club on the island. C. L. R. James records that "they were for the most part white and often wealthy" and that "a black man in the Queen's Park was rare and usually anonymous." The Queen's Park club was "the big shot" of the local cricket on the island, and matches against touring English sides were the mainstay of cricket at the ground. The club also contributed to the growth of cricket on the island, for trial matches were held on weekends while a tour was in progress, and local talent was invited to play.

O clube foi fundado em 1894 e é um dos mais antigos e bem-sucedidos clubes de futebol do país. O Queen's Park disputa a TT Pro League, a primeira divisão do futebol de Trinidad e Tobago. O clube conquistou o campeonato nacional 11 vezes, sendo o terceiro clube com mais títulos no país, atrás apenas do W Connection e do Defence Force. O Queen's Park também conquistou a Copa de Trinidad e Tobago em 16 oportunidades, sendo o maior vencedor da competição. Em âmbito internacional, o clube participou da Liga dos Campeões da CONCACAF em três ocasiões, tendo alcançado as quartas de final em 1989. O Queen's Park é um dos clubes mais populares de Trinidad e Tobago e possui uma grande torcida. O clube é conhecido por seu estilo de jogo ofensivo e por ter revelado alguns dos melhores jogadores do país, como Dwight Yorke, Russell Latapy e Shaka Hislop.
