The UTSA Roadrunners women's basketball team represents the University of Texas at San Antonio in women's basketball. The school competes in the American Athletic Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Roadrunners play home basketball games at Convocation Center in San Antonio, Texas.

History

As of the end of the 2015–16 season, the Roadrunners have an all-time record of 493–500 since beginning play in 1981. From 1992–2012, they played in the Southland Conference, before joining Conference USA in 2013 after one year in the Western Athletic Conference.

O UTSA Roadrunners Feminino é uma equipe de basquete universitário feminino que representa a Universidade do Texas em San Antonio (UTSA) em San Antonio, Texas. A equipe compete na Divisão I da National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) como membro da Conferência dos EUA (C-USA). As Roadrunners jogam seus jogos em casa no Convocation Center no campus da UTSA.

A equipe de basquete feminino da UTSA foi fundada em 1976 e começou a competir na Divisão II da NCAA. As Roadrunners conquistaram três campeonatos da Conferência Lone Star e participaram de quatro Torneios da NCAA Divisão II. Em 1991, a UTSA se mudou para a Divisão I e se juntou à C-USA.

As Roadrunners fizeram sua primeira aparição no Torneio da NCAA Divisão I em 2015. Elas também conquistaram dois campeonatos da C-USA e participaram de quatro Torneios da NCAA desde então.

A atual treinadora das Roadrunners é Karen Aston, que está na equipe desde 2018. Aston é uma ex-jogadora e treinadora da seleção dos Estados Unidos e tem mais de 20 anos de experiência como treinadora universitária.

As Roadrunners têm uma rivalidade com o time de basquete feminino da Universidade do Texas em El Paso (UTEP). As duas equipes têm se enfrentado anualmente desde 1991.
