O time de basquete dos EUA "Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs" é um time universitário da Divisão II da NCAA que representa a Southwest Minnesota State University em Marshall, Minnesota. Os Mustangs competem no Conferência Intercolegial Norte e jogam seus jogos em casa no Centro Regional de Esportes.

O programa de basquete masculino da Southwest Minnesota State foi fundado em 1921. Os Mustangs ganharam 17 campeonatos da Conferência Norte e foram ao torneio da NCAA seis vezes, a última em 2017. O programa de basquete feminino da Southwest Minnesota State foi fundado em 1977. As Mustangs ganharam 11 campeonatos da Conferência Norte e foram ao torneio da NCAA quatro vezes, a última em 2019.

Os Mustangs são liderados pelo técnico masculino Brad Bigler e pela técnica feminina Jenn Plasschaert. Bigler está com a Southwest Minnesota State desde 2006 e levou os Mustangs a cinco campeonatos da Conferência Norte e duas viagens ao torneio da NCAA. Plasschaert está com a Southwest Minnesota State desde 2011 e levou as Mustangs a quatro campeonatos da Conferência Norte e duas viagens ao torneio da NCAA.

Os Mustangs são uma equipe jovem e talentosa que espera conquistar grandes coisas na temporada de 2023-2024. A equipe masculina conta com uma forte classe de calouros, liderada pelo armador Justin Pitts e pelo ala-pivô Nick Dufault. A equipe feminina conta com uma forte classe de juniores, liderada pela armadora Ashley Joens e pela ala-pivô Bailey Thiele.

Os Mustangs estão ansiosos para a temporada de 2023-2024 e esperam fazer uma corrida profunda no torneio da NCAA.
